Huntsville Is Growing. So Are We: The Next Chapter of KayDi’s Events

If you’ve known KayDi’s for a while, you’ve probably seen us in more than one season.

Maybe we planned your wedding. Maybe we decorated a birthday, shower, graduation, or anniversary party. Maybe your company or organization trusted us with an event. Perhaps you rented something from us, ordered a gift, or simply followed along while I figured out the next idea.

Some of you have been here for years.

And while KayDi’s has grown, so has the community around us. Huntsville continues to grow rapidly. The City estimated the population at more than 249,000 in 2025, an increase of nearly 16% since 2020. At the same time, the area continues investing in meeting, convention, and event venues as more people, companies, and organizations choose Huntsville as a place to live, work, and gather.

New businesses. Promotions. Graduations. Babies. Milestone birthdays. Fundraisers. Conferences. Reunions. Community gatherings. Family moments.

...that is where KayDi’s has always lived.

What has changed?

For years, the easiest way to describe KayDi’s was: Event planning and decorating.

That’s still part of what we do, and I still enjoy it — but it no longer tells the whole story.

What people have really trusted us with over the years is an idea. Sometimes it’s a fully developed vision. Sometimes it’s a few colors and a Pinterest photo. And sometimes it starts with: “Kris, I have an idea…”

And that’s the part I’ve always loved most. Taking the idea, figuring out the details, solving the problem, and creating something that feels like the person, business, or organization we’re creating it for.

We’re growing with the community.

Huntsville’s entrepreneurial community is growing too. The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber continues expanding resources for small businesses, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and growing organizations.

That matters to us because local businesses rarely work alone. We hire each other. Refer each other. Cater events for one another. Provide venues, décor, photography, entertainment, signage, rentals, marketing, and countless other services. KayDi’s has always been part of that ecosystem.

Going forward, you’ll see us lean even more into Corporate & Community Events, helping businesses, nonprofits, associations, and organizations bring their ideas together through planning, design, coordination, and guest experiences. But don’t worry — we haven’t forgotten home.

Private celebrations are still part of our heart.

Birthdays. Showers. Graduations. Anniversaries. Family gatherings. The celebrations that may never make the newspaper but mean everything to the people in the room.

The difference now is that we have more ways to help. Some clients need full planning. Some need event design and styling. Some want us to create the concept, activities, supplies, and details so they can host the celebration themselves. And sometimes you don’t need a planner at all — you just want the fun part, like our Aerial 360 video booth!

To the people who helped us get here — thank you.

Seventeen years later, KayDi’s is still evolving. Some services are quieter than they used to be. Some have grown. Some have taken us in directions I never expected — including Get Married. Stay Married. which grew from years of helping couples prepare for weddings and wanting to create more space for what happens after the wedding day.

But the heart of the business hasn’t changed. We still listen. We still create. We still problem-solve. We still collaborate. And I personally still light up when somebody says:

“Kris, I have an idea…”
